Beginning Painting (Adults)
In this six-week class, students will learn the basics of painting in acrylics. This includes learning how to use the brushes, mix the primary colors, apply color theory to paintings, apply shadow and light sources, and painting with detail. This is an easy first step into the painting direction for beginners!
 
When: Tuesdays , April 7th - May 26th

Instructor: Frankie Stockman
Frankie Stockman is a contemporary painter based in Great Falls. She works in many different mediums including oil, ink/pencil, acrylic, gouache, and pastels. With a degree in Fine Art/Humanities, she continues to develop her artistic skills through independent study, online resources, and practical experience. Having called Great Falls home for the last decade, she is also a mother of six and a grandmother of four. Her involvement in the art community has shown her the meaningful impact art can have on people: "my paintings are intended to evoke feelings of joy and positivity. Whether I'm depicting a peaceful landscape or a simple everyday object, like a favorite coffee cup, my goal is to create images that encourage happy memories and a positive outlook.
